General Administration

The day-to-day administration of the College is spearheaded by the Headmaster, who is ably supported by his three Assistants (Administration, Academics and Domestic), the Senior Housemaster, the Housemasters, the Chaplain, the Bursar and the Counsellor

THE HEADMASTER

He ensures the smooth running of the College, particularly teaching and learning and the enforcement of discipline. This he does with the active cooperation of his three Assistants, the Staff and the Prefects.

THE ASST. HEADMASTER ADMINISTRATION

He is in charge of discipline, supervision, and maintenance. Within the ambit of his duties are the Maintenance Unit, Staff Accommodation Committee, Disciplinary Committee, Dining Hall Committee, Dispensary, and College Store. When the headmaster is away, he assumes his duties.

THE ASST. HEADMASTER ACADEMIC

He is responsible to theHeadmaster and liaises with the teaching staff in matters relating to teaching and learning, as well as in the conduct of examinations. He is assisted by the Academic Board, comprising the Heads of Department, Form Masters, Class Prefects, and the Time Table Committee. The computer Centre and College Library are under his purview.

THE ASST. HEADMASTER DOMESTIC

He is responsible to theHeadmaster and liaises with the senior housemasters and housemasters in maintaining discipline in the school.  He is assisted by the housemasters, maintenance unit, and the sick bay unit. The College environment and beautification is under his purview.

THE SENIOR HOUSEMASTER

He is responsible for the general welfare of the students. He sees to the preservation and observance of the traditions that add spice to College life. He recommends teachers for appointment as Housemasters, prepares the roster for Saturday morning inspection, and studies the written reports of masters on duty. He is a member of Disciplinary Committee. The Senior Housemaster is ably supported by his Assistants and the Prefects. 

THE CHAPLAIN

He is in charge of the religious upbringing of the students. He liaises with the Headmaster on all religious matters in the College. He safeguards the interest of the Catholic Church in the day-to-day administration of the College. He works in close association with the Counsellors to find solutions to problems of peculiar kind that militate against the progress of some of the students.

THE BURSAR

He supervises the collection of school fees and assists the Headmaster in all disbursements. He presents daily, weekly, monthly, termly, and annually, a statement of account to the Headmaster and the Board of Governors. He is directly responsible to the Headmaster.

THE COUNSELLOR

He helps students in the choice of academic programmes, especially in relation to the career implications of these programmes. He involves other members of staff where necessary especially when resolving certain problems confronting some of the students. He does so with due regards for the students ‘desire for confidentiality. The Counselor tries to identify students with special needs and problems. He liaises with the Ministry of Health, the Universities, employers, and agencies in the provision of vital information on personal, special and career issues. He organizes conferences that serve as fora for disseminating information on careers with the consent of the Headmaster.
